Ryan McGibbon
Born in the Kootenays and raised in the Interior and Okanagan, Ryan has seen every corner of Southern BC.
Over the last 26 years he has worked in some of the provinces most popular and famous resort settings from Tofino to Whistler, and has been in Victoria for 8 years as well. He likes to tell stories about how he never passed up a resume from Rossland to Golden without an interview no matter how inexperienced, and how it was about the people.
While moving he never forgot his roots and always told stories of how he wanted to end up back in the Kootenays. It took a few more years than originally planned, but he finally gets to come back to the mountains, lakes and people
The mystique of no line-ups and perfect powder to compliment glacier lakes and world class paddling were finally too much to pass up, and Ryan's hope is to now take in the famous Kootenay Hospitality while imparting what he has learned over the last 2 decades.
Sandra McGibbon
Sandra, born in England, came to Canada in 2008 as a member of a Chalet team in Whistler. As a resident she transferred to hotels and worked for two years behind the Front Desk before transitioning to Events.
She was exposed to weddings and corporate events ranging from 12 to 240 people, and had the opportunity to work with a host of brides and event coordinators as well as planners and suppliers. Her reputation grew immediately and she was known for putting together elaborate events that fit within the clients budget while tying together several departments within the hotel.
After leaving Whistler she transitioned again to become a certified bookkeeper and chose to work in non-profit as a financial manager. Her experience in bookkeeping and events is pivotal in budgeting and financial planning, and her events background rounds out our management goal of being able to handle any situation.
